What is a Same-Day Restoration?
You would typically require more than one visit to the dentist for a dental crown, inlay or onlay to be placed. However, our downtown Calgary dentists can use CEREC technology to perform the entire procedure in one easy visit.
CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) allows for the fabrication of same-day ceramic dental restorations. Our dentists use CEREC technology to place crowns, veneers, inlays and onlays in just one appointment.
Dental Crowns
These porcelain caps are placed atop teeth to restore their appearance and function. Crowns can be used to repair a fractured tooth, restore a discoloured tooth to its natural appearance, attach bridges or cover implants.
Veneers
Veneers are extremely thin pieces of tooth-shaped porcelain that are custom-made in a dental laboratory, then bonded to the front of your natural tooth. They are durable and can help improve the colour, shape or symmetry of your smile.
Inlays & Onlays
Typically used for molars, inlays and onlays are tooth-coloured porcelain fillings, which repair cavities when teeth are damaged too extensively for a standard dental filling.
